It depends on the model and how much you use it. Light use of a fast model costs cents per month. Heavy use of a frontier model costs more. Either way, you see the exact spend in your OpenRouter dashboard.
Do I have to use OpenRouter?
No. You can add OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google API keys directly instead. OpenRouter is just the one key that unlocks all 62 models at once.
Where do my keys live?
In your browser's extension storage, on your machine. Keys never sync to our servers, and requests go from your browser to the provider.
Does UtilEngine add a markup on AI usage?
