The short version

Buy it if

  • You keep a lot of windows open and lose them to crashes or a stray click
  • You would rather type a few letters than click through menus
  • You want AI on the page and already use, or would set up, an OpenRouter key
  • You would rather pay once than add another subscription

Skip it if

  • You use Firefox or Safari. It runs on Chrome, Brave, Edge, and other Chromium browsers
  • You want to try before paying. There is no trial, there is a 14-day refund
  • You want AI without setting up a key. The AI runs on your own OpenRouter key

What you get

Every feature, what it does, and when it earns its place.

Feature What it does Best for
Sessions and snapshots Save any window and restore it anywhere. Snapshots of every window run hourly and are kept for 14 days. Anyone who keeps work in windows and has lost one to a crash.
Launcher One shortcut on any page. Search tabs, history, and downloads, run 50+ commands. People who would rather type three letters than reach for the mouse.
AI Chat, Ask AI, and your own commands. Reads the page and searches your tabs. 77 models through OpenRouter. Asking about the page you are on without opening another tab.
Snippets Text with blanks, filled in the launcher and inserted into any field. Synced. Replies, sign-offs, and forms you type more than twice a week.
Tools Calculator, unit and currency conversion, JSON, Base64, JWT, image conversion, inline. Quick math, conversions, and JSON without leaving the page.
Tab sleep Sleep one tab or a whole window and get the memory back. Works with Chrome's Memory Saver. A laptop with 40 tabs open and a fan that will not stop.
Sync Sessions, bookmarks, snippets, and AI commands follow your account on up to 10 devices. The same setup at work and at home.

What it costs

One number, and the one thing it does not include.

$49 Once. Every future update included.
14 days Refund window. No questions asked.
10 devices Signed in at the same time on one account.

AI is the one thing not in that number. You bring an OpenRouter key and pay OpenRouter for what you use, with no markup from us. Everything else works without an OpenRouter account.

Questions, answered

Is UtilEngine free?

No. It is $49 once, with every future update included and no subscription. If you use the AI, OpenRouter bills that usage separately at their prices.

Is there a trial?

No trial. You get 14 days to refund, no questions asked.

Who makes UtilEngine?

UnveelWorks, the team behind Hoverify, Vidferry, and SVGLogo.

Do you collect my data?

No browsing data. You sign in once with Google or your purchase email, and we store your account details, your purchase record, and the browsers you have signed in on. If you use sync, your saved sessions, bookmarks, snippets, and AI commands are stored so they can follow you. Page content and browsing history never reach our servers.

Which browsers does it support?

Chrome, Brave, Edge, and other Chromium browsers. Firefox support is on the roadmap. Safari is not.

Why write a review of your own product?

Because people search for one and the homepage does not answer it. Read the Chrome Web Store reviews as well, then use the 14-day refund as your trial.

Does the AI work without an OpenRouter account?

No. The AI features need your own OpenRouter key. Everything else works without one.

Does a session restore tab groups?

Not yet. A session keeps every tab, its order, and which ones were pinned, but not the group it sat in.

Pay once, keep it forever

Sessions, snapshots, AI, and 50+ commands in one launcher. 14 days to change your mind.
